Becoming a doula

Are you fascinated by birth? Just can’t get enough of reading about it, talking about it, watching birth vids on YouTube?
Are you passionate in your belief that birth matters?
Are you wanting to make a difference and thinking that becoming a doula might be the way for you to do it?
If the answer to these questions is yes, join me for this introductory workshop for aspiring doulas. In it we will explore:
*what’s being a doula really like?
*obstacles, choices and challenges
*understanding training options, what’s required for certification and recognition
*juicy Q & A session – all topics fair game!
We’ll also devote time focus in on you – where you are on the path, whether doulaing is right for you, how to choose a course that will suit your needs, and alternatives to doulaing if this path isn’t right for you at this time. And of course, joining the group, you’ll form connections with women on a similar path. Best of all, it’s local and in person so you can really get a feel for what doulaing in the Northeast is all about.
